CHAPTER - CLOUD
Cloud is a collection of services that helps developers focus on their project rather than on the infrastructure that powers it.
1 What is Google Cloud Platform?
Google Cloud Platform (often abbreviated as GCP) is a collection of products that allows the world to use some of Google’s internal infrastructure. It also includes APIs to some of the more advanced Googlebuilt technology, like Bigtable, Cloud Datastore, or Kubernetes.
2 Why cloud?
Cloud hosting offers a lot of flexibility, which is a great fit for situations where you don’t know (or can’t know) how much computing power you need. Second, cloud hosting comes with the maintenance built in for several products.
2.1 Why not cloud?
Google’s infrastructural footprint is exabytes of data, hundreds of thousands of CPUs, a relatively stable and growing overall workload. In addition, Google is a big target for attacks (for example, denial-of-service attacks) and government espionage and has the budget and expertise to build gigantic infrastructural footprints.
CHAPTER: GOOGLE CLOUD CERTIFICATION
https://cloud.google.com/
WHY GET GOOGLE CLOUD CERTIFIED
v 87% of Google Cloud certified users feel more confident in cloud skills.
v Professional Cloud Architect is the highest-paying certification of 2019.
v 30% of Google Cloud certified users took on more responsibility or leadership roles at work.
WHICH GOOGLE CLOUD CERTIFICATION IS RIGHT FOR YOU?
A series of Google Cloud Certified programs are available on the Google Cloud Platform. Participants can choose between online learning programs provided by Coursera, Pluralsight, or Qwiklabs as well as live workshops and webinars.
v Associate Cloud Engineer
v Professional Data Engineer
v Professional Cloud Architect
v Professional Cloud Developer
v Professional Cloud Network Engineer
v Professional Cloud Security Engineer
v Professional Collaboration Engineer
v Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer
v G Suite
Associate certification
The associate level certification is focused on the fundamental skills of deploying, monitoring, and maintaining projects on Google Cloud. This certification is a good starting point for those new to cloud and can be used as a path to professional level certifications.
Professional certification
Professional certifications span key technical job functions and assess advanced skills in design, implementation, and management. These certifications are recommended for individuals with industry experience and familiarity with Google Cloud products and solutions.
User certification
The user certification is intended for individuals with experience using G Suite and determines an individual's ability to use core collaboration tools.
G Suite is a package of cloud-based services that can provide your company or school with a whole new way to work together online not just using email and chat, but over video conferences, social media, real-time document collaborations, and more.
